Always yes to experiences over things (though I also like things) but an experience with friends is more memorable! We did my husband’s 40th as a surf trip to Nihi Sumba and Amankila, it was great!

Well I should have read this a year ago - I celebrated my 40th with my family and didn't even think of a girls' trip. Maybe if I start planning now in a few years I can do an epic 45th. Also, with you on your fave Paris hotels! Staying at one of the Pavillons next month and can't wait.

Milestone travel is becoming the new rite of passage. We're seeing a surge in 40th birthday retreats ....women craving depth, not just destination. Though - let's be real I went to Toronto to see Taylor with my girlfriends for my 40th ;)

Taylor’s tour was a rite of passage in and of itself! My friend, Laura, (pictured in my article) and I went to the Denver performance. It was absolutely amazing. 10/10

Went to the Keys last year for my 40th! Such a blast. And loved the Hotel Regina as well for Paris, stayed in November and the rate was amazing.

Amazing! Nov is one of my favorite months in Paris - everything starts to get decorated for the holidays, but rates are low. Regina Louvre was about half the price of the entry level rooms at the heavy hitters, and for a suite!

Did you rent a house or stay in a hotel in the Keys? I haven’t spent much time there

Stayed in house on Key Largo, but would love to go back and see/stay in Key West. And agreed, Paris in November is underrated!!!

1000%! I’m seeing more girls trips during the week for those with young kids when they can balance childcare with school, Nannies, and daycare suspect as babies get older (and the women hit 40) these will turn into bigger and more epic trips

Absolutely. It’s so much easier for my in laws to watch the kids for a night or two if it’s during the week. We cobbled together a patchwork or childcare in Jan when we went to Africa. We had different ppl for weekends, mornings, and evenings. It was wild

YES to all the above. Haven’t checked out Regina , will do next time.
