Yes. I remember squishing bugs on a rock in Gstaad when I was 5. I remember floating seed pod sticks down a gutter in London, chasing pigeons in a park in Paris, searching for wildflowers with my mom in Austria.
What a beautiful trip. I just returned from Paris with my almost-four year old and reading this has me excited for what travel will look like when she is seven!
Do NYC next with yours. We did that when Malia turned 5 - we did the carriage ride in Central Park and the boats, the Eloise tea at the Plaza, FAO Schwartz, The American Girl Store, Aladdin on Broadway. It was perfect!
It's funny you say that - New York is high on my radar for a solo mother/daughter trip! We're from New York so she's been to the city a bunch but it is not for the faint of heart to visit with a toddler. After the Paris trip I was thinking - NOW is a great time to take her to NY :)
