Love so many things here. Completely agree that family friendly doesn’t have to mean waterslides and infrastructure. Some of our best family travel memories just involve exploring what a hotel and destination has to offer - gardens in the English countryside with a toddler exploring alongside British retirees, a walk along the beach in grand cayman, etc.
I also like the idea that travel doesn’t always have to be comfortable. You don’t need every checklist item filled - getting out of your zone expands your horizons and leaves you with more stories to tell

Yes! Some of my favorite memories are those small moments with my kids - like throwing sticks in a pond, or breakfast in bed in robes
